SHANEIKA DABNEY-HENDERSON

Vice President of Production

New Orleans Saints and Pelicans

Shaneika Dabney-Henderson  is an Emmy-nominated producer who was born and raised in New Orleans and graduated from Loyola University with a BA in Mass Communications.  She worked in television news for 15 years at both the local and network level before transitioning to sports journalism in 2015.  Shaneika was the first black, female Coordinating Producer at the NFL Network before taking the role as VP of production for the Saints and Pelicans.  She also launched a website dedicated to female football fans called “Chicks in the Huddle” which was active for 10 years and named by Shape Magazine as one of the top websites for female sports fans, in addition to being profiled on CNN. Shaneika and her husband Michael share their home with 3 sleep-suckers aka their children - ages 6, 4, and 1.

Ashley is the Director of Marketing and Brand Strategy at WME Sports, where she helped innovate the company’s unique approach to developing athlete brands. Her creative expertise has benefited some of the biggest names and personalities in sports including, NFL MVP Cam Newton, NBA All-Star Victor Oladipo, and tennis legend Venus Williams. A native of Brooklyn, New York, Ashley holds an MBA in Marketing from Arizona State University and a B.A. in Business Management from Pace University.

Champions for Philanthropy 

Over the past decade, Alycia Powell has built a wealth of practical expertise as a business and legal consultant, and social entrepreneur in the fields of sports and entertainment and nonprofit management.


In 2017, Alycia co-founded Champions for Philanthropy, Inc. (CFP), a consulting agency that assists professional athletes, entertainers and influencers develop their charitable brands. As Co-Founder and CEO, Alycia helps athletes establish their nonprofit foundations, manage existing foundations, design charitable initiatives and programs as well as create other charitable vehicles for giving back. CFP works with both current and former/retired athletes from professional sports leagues such as the NBA and NFL. CFP also maintains a blog, The Sport of Philanthropy, that shines a light on the positive work being done by athletes, teams and leagues. Over the last two years, CFP has hosted numerous events, including their Most Valuable Philanthropist awards that honors the philanthropic work of current and former professional athletes.


After graduating from law school in 2011, Alycia started her own nonprofit and business consulting firm. With clients including entrepreneurs, nonprofit organizations, entertainers, a renowned aviation lawyer, a family office, and a private investor, Alycia gained deep experience in business and non-profit formation, management, and strategy, as well as investing and subscription agreements. 


On June 19, 2020 (Juneteenth) Alycia along with her business partner Michelle Mays founded the organization Women of Color in Sports (WOCIS), a new professional membership organization dedicated to the advancement and development of women of color working in the sports industry.


In addition to her J.D., Alycia earned a B.A. in Sociology with a minor in African and African American Studies from Fordham University. With a propensity for community activism, Alycia has served on multiple nonprofit boards throughout her career.

CHANELLE S. REYNOLDS

Director of Group Sales

 Washington Football Team

Chanelle S. Reynolds is a young professional with a passion for the sports and live events industry. She has a passion for paving the way for other women and minorities in sports.  She enjoys all things business, success and leadership.

In May of 2014, Chanelle joined the Philadelphia 76ers organization through their NBA Gatorade League Affiliate, the Delaware 87ers, in which she’s had the opportunity to take on several positions.  After 4 years of being with the Sixers Organization, she was met with a new challenge to launch and grow the new group sales department for the Washington Redskins.  With honor & great excitement, Chanelle packed her bags and moved to the Nation's Capital to be a part of this new project.  After 1 year, Chanelle was promoted to be the Director of Group Sales for the Washington Redskins and leads a team of ambitious account executives.

  Chanelle has achieved accolades throughout her career such as being featured in Delaware Today Magazine in their 2016 Top Women in Business Issue.  She was the youngest of the honorees to receive this recognition.   She was also awarded as a 2017 40 under 40 recipient by the Delaware Business Times.

 When Chanelle is not climbing the corporate ladder or serving the community, she spends much of her time developing her "side hustles." Alongside her twin sister, Chanelle has a faith based brand designed to encourage youth and young adults to have a relationship with God and grow stronger in their faith.  They do this through their Mobile App,  Double Portion  (available in Google Play & the App Store).  Additionally the twins own "The Branding Factory", a branding & marketing agency that helps other people start their own brands.  Through the Branding Factory, they've created mobile apps for many other small businesses.

  

Chanelle holds a Bachelors in Business Management from Delaware State University and an MBA from Drexel University.

DEMEKA FIELDS

Associate Counsel 

Minnesota Vikings 

Demeka currently serves as Associate Counsel for the Minnesota Vikings. In her role, she spearheaded and implemented the launch of the Sensory Room at U.S. Bank Stadium, and she has led contract negotiations for the inaugural Summer Skolstice summer concert series and the Premier Lacrosse League Tournament to be held at TCO Stadium. Upon joining the Vikings in 2016, Demeka worked in Legal and Business Affairs, where her responsibilities included negotiating, drafting and finalizing contracts related to technology, entertainment, sponsorships, licensing, revenue sharing and more. She was integral in negotiations for several Vikings’ Super Bowl LII and NFL International Series agreements. In addition, she provided business and legal support in the Chief of Staff capacity to the Chief Operating Officer and took part in strategic planning, speech writing, and acted as a liaison between the C-suite and other Vikings divisions and departments.


As an alumna of the Howard University, facilitating and managing the Minnesota Vikings participation in the HBCU Battle of the Brains, as well as other HBCU initiatives, are passion projects that she is happy to see come to fruition. Ensuring that underrepresented minorities have access to organizations such as the Vikings and the NFL is an underlying mission as she navigates her career and creates pathways for her colleagues and peers. Demeka is also a member of the Vikings Diversity Council, which focuses on various initiatives that can help improve diversity and inclusion across the organization.



A military child who has lived in cities across the country and the world, Demeka received her Bachelor of Business Administration from Howard University and her law degree from Tulane University’s School of Law.
